Visualization of white, golden, or colored light is a powerful tool for purifying the body and mind.  When you imagine that the light is coming from your personal deity the practices become more rich, satisfying, and powerful.

Imagine that a brilliant golden sun is shining right above your head.  The light shines into the crown of your head.  More and more pure light shines into your body.  The crown of your head becomes very bright.  Slowly your entire body is filled with the light of the sun.  The light gets brighter, brighter, brighter.
